- [How to Add Dark Mode to WordPress Without a Plugin](https://anuragelwyn.com/how-to-add-dark-mode-to-wordpress-without-a-plugin/): Dark mode toggles are everywhere now, and if you’ve ever gone looking for one on WordPress, you’ve probably landed on a plugin that promises to handle it for you. Some of them work fine. But if you’d rather have full control over exactly what changes, how it transitions, and which colors get used, it’s genuinely doable with a handful of custom CSS and JavaScript snippets — no plugin, no extra dependency to maintain. I built this on my own site recently, and ran into a few real snags along the way — a flash of white light before the dark theme […]
- [WordPress vs Wix vs Custom Code: What's Best for You?](https://anuragelwyn.com/wordpress-vs-wix-vs-custom-code-whats-best-for-you/): If you’re a small business owner trying to get a website built, the WordPress vs Wix question is probably the first thing you’ve run into — and you’ve likely already gotten three different answers from three different people. A web designer told you to go custom. A friend swears by Wix. Your cousin’s developer says WordPress is the only sane option. How this started Web development was just one subject on my course during graduation — but it was the one I actually paid attention to, mostly because everything else felt like homework and this felt like a puzzle. Turns out I was decent at it too, probably because I actually cared enough to try. Then COVID happened, and suddenly “freelancing” […]
- [Lab](https://anuragelwyn.com/lab/): This is where things live before they’re finished — small experiments, WordPress snippets, half-built ideas, and notes on what I’m currently learning. Less polished than the rest of this site, on purpose.
- [Work](https://anuragelwyn.com/work/): WORK Selected work Not every project here started from a blank page. Some I built from scratch, some I’ve kept alive and healthy for years — here’s a look at both kinds of work. Full build : 5,000 visitors / month Catholic Utopia Started in 2019 as a simple idea — put the common mass hymns online so they’d be easy to find on a phone, no more carrying hymn books around. It’s grown since then into a full site with daily readings, the order of mass, and seasonal hymns, and now gets over 5,000 visitors a month, helped along by […]
